Closet Organization Tips

Did you see my post on the latest Closet Trends (here)?  Today I want to spend some time chatting with you about my personal favorite, Closet Organization Tips.  Let’s start with scarves.  I used the Cocoa Twill 9-section Drawer Organizer from The Container Store.  This drawer is deep so I stacked two of the drawer organizers on top of each other so I had plenty of room for all my scarves.

Don’t forget to sign up  ONE (1) Winner will receive a $5,000 Closet Makeover from The Container Store, including a consultation from one of our Contained Home in-home organizers, as well as custom installation of their closet.  Sweepstakes runs Tuesday, September 15th – Monday, September 28th.

In each of my cubbies I added a white taper bin from The Container Store.  At The Container Store, I also found square label holders that hooked onto the bins.

Below my dresses I have two laundry baskets.  Long ago, I kept one basket here. I love the time I save not having to spent several sort through the dirty laundry – Yuck!

My flip flops and sandals are in Like It Drawer Organizers that come with one sliding divider for each bin.  I placed these on the self above my dressy tops and below my casual tops.

And for the first time, I have enough room for all of my shoes in the designated area.  These Like It Shoe Holders save so much room, but still gives visibility and easy access.

My jewelry with a battery operated light hangs above my jewelry on the wall to the left of my shoes.

The Jewelry Storage is a fun find from Jo-Ann’s Fabric and Crafts. It’s really a Spool Thread Rack that has the back legs removed then was painted.  I used my brad gun to secure it into the studs on the wall.

My space needed two Thread Racks, aka, Necklace Hooks.

In my previous post you may have noticed above the reading area I have a shelf with handbags.  They keep their form perfectly with help from Innies sold at The Container Store.

My adorable DREAM light up sign comes from another one of my favorite stores, HomeGoods.  Totally LOVE it!

On the wall that separates the slacks from my reading nook, I installed three Umbra Conceal Invisible Floating Book Shelves.  These were found at The Container Store and one of my favorite additions to the closet.

The large bins along the top shelf of the closet are Narrow 2- Runner Elfa Drawers.  I picked up 13 of these in white from The Container Store.  The Container Store’s Annual Shelving Sale has begun and features 25% off all Shelving solutions – including elfa and elfa installation now through October 18th!  The light fixture above is from Lowes and is called Krystal Ice, made by Kichler.  It makes my white master closet extra light and bright.  I don’t miss the fluorescent light one bit!

And when I need something I can easily figure out which bin it’s in because of the addition of Bin Clip Labels from The Container Store.  I used my computer to print out all my labels on a sheet of cardstock and cut them to fit the space.

The metal baskets below are called Zinc Marche Baskets.  And the other bins are called Blue Bigso Pippi Drawer Organizers.  Both are from The Container Store.

I used two of the Grey 8-Section Drawer Organizer from The Container Store to store belts for Stud and myself.

Studs ties are perfectly organized on the rotating tie rack from The Container Store.

And if you haven’t updated your hangers!?  Ivory Hungable Hangers are non-slip, help conserve precious space in your closet, and are strong enough to hold winter coats.

I’m not the only one loving this space.  Berkeley the Yorkie loves chilling on my HomeGoods bench!

I was given the opportunity to incorporate items from Container Store in my home.  The products selected and the opinions expressed here are my own based on the inspiration I received from Zillow Digs.  Linking up at: Savvy Southern Style, Between Naps on the Porch
